The Münster Film Festival is an event organised by the Filmwerkstatt Münster. It takes place every two years – in the autumn of odd-numbered years. Since its beginnings in the early 1980s, the former “film dwarfs” have grown into a multi-faceted festival that offers a platform for up-and-coming film talents in particular – from the region, from Germany and from all over Europe.
Brand new feature-length and short films that have not yet been shown in Münster will be screened in several competitions. There is a country focus that is unique in Germany with films from the Netherlands, numerous film talks and discussion panels, genre classics in late screenings and networking days for students and those involved in film education.
